Good evening
Can you please tell me what exactly M-Pure is made from? This website states that it is a “non- chemical FR treatment by using Biobased ingredients for the compound.”
I also read somewhere that it contains some sort of by product from the dairy industry- is this correct?
If you could kindly tell me what the ingredients are/what specifically this substance is made from, I’d be most grateful.

Thank you for your question. M Pure is a plant-based fire retardant. All soft furnishings have to have some fire retardant by law, whether this is chemical-based or plant-based, to comply with British regulations (BS 5852: 1982 Part II & BS 7177).
Natural fibres, such as wool and cotton, have their own fire retardancy which makes them ideal fillings for mattresses. They are also very breathable and help you to regulate your body temperature which is great for anyone who overheats at night. The GSM of these fibres and the way that they are layered create the level of comfort.
All of our Artisan range of mattresses have a demask outer ticking and we use the M Pure Biobased fire retardant which is patented and we do not have the breakdown of the components. The Origins range and our bases use a standard chemical fire retardant to protect them from fire.
