Advice on base for Artisan Bespoke mattress
Hi, After living a long time in rented student accommodation, I am increasingly fed up with the horrible back breaking beds/mattresses that I am lumped with. I have found a nice spacious unfurnished apartment to rent and have pretty much decided that I will be purchasing a mattress from you guys. I'd just like your opinion on something, basically, I want the most comfortable sleeping experience that I can buy (without the chokingly expensive prices of vi-spring and tempur.) I'm almost certain that i'll opt for your Artisan Bespoke or Naturals. I have a few questions regarding this and the base. Firstly, I am a single male, with an modest 12 stone 3 bodyweight and 6 foot 2 in height, despite this I'm going to be getting either a super kingsize or a kingsize mattress, I'd like the feeling of the mattress to be very soft but also supportive, is that achievable with my bodyweight?
.
Hi Simon.
And that's what you should get.
The right springs for your bodyweight (Support) and the right fillings that should give you the comfort.
In the Calico the medium tension would be right for your bodyweight but your preference dictates soft.
With a bodyweight of around 12st this is no great whoop.
My other question is regarding the base, I find divan bases to be incredibly dull in design, I'd prefer a much more modern looking base with a lower down design and options in colour apart from the typical beige divans I see.
Unfortunately any beds I like the design of have slats rather than being box sprung, will this compromise on the comfort levels?
I confess that despite reading about this extensively, I still feel completely ignorant, do you have any advice for me?
Thanks, Simon I agree.
I have answered this question here[Rob and Helen].
