Artisan naturals mattress or another?

I have been sleeping on a Vi-Spring for the last five years but have heard some good things about your mattresses and I have spent a long time reading your website in the evenings. Calling in the day has proved problematic though. I am looking for some help in choosing a second mattress for the spare room. I will be sleeping on it for the next six months or so, during the latter stage of my wife's pregnancy and after the baby is born, after which it will become a guest bed. I am 5ft9 and weigh 70kg. I tend to sleep on my side or my back. I had thought of getting a small double but it doesn't seem to be any cheaper than a double so not sure there is too much point if we have the space? Money is not the overriding object but a factor of sorts by the time a base and headboard is brought into play. I would prefer to buy predominantly natural fibres as it just seems like the mattress will have greater longevity. But would it be best to stick most of the money into a mattress and get a cheaper base or rein it in a bit on the mattress and get a decent base/headboard? It would be great if you could offer me a few hints and ideally your personal recommendation given my size, weight, circumstances etc.
