Back problems so which mattress?

Hi John & Ryan Brilliant website, so much information. I sent an email some time ago for advice on a mattress, but obviously you did not receive. I am 5'8" about 10.5/11 stone and my boyfriend 5'10" about 12 stone. My boyfriend has had fusion surgery on his spine so finds beds quite uncomfortable!
He does OK on his mattress, he has an old Hypnos. I have a Silentnight which he finds totally uncomfortable and who can blame him!
I do not have a big budget and would like to know if you think that the Origins Pocket Reflex would be a good replacement for mine. At the moment I feel that anything would be a good replacement, but I just want to try to get it as right as I can within my budget. Thanks for your time Anne .

You can generalise quite accurately that all mattresses with a retail price below £500 or so will be predominantly polyester based. The task you are faced with is finding the best of the bunch.
We think the mattresses in our Origins Range are extremely good value for money however they all have a different feel from the upholstery layers which we call the comfort layers. The Origins Comfort 1000 is the softest mattress that we make, the Origins Pocket 1500 has a more medium overall comfort, the Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 is the firmest mattress that we make in the comfort layers and the Origins Pocket Latex 1500 is another firm mattress which contains two layers of talalay latex on top of pocket springs.
All the mattresses in the Origins Range come with a medium spring tension which is correct for your body weights and will give you both good support.
