Best mattress for a very low budget?

Hi :) My wife and I just paid off our wedding but our bed is intolerable - gives me back ache so I end up on the sofa mostly!
Our budget is up to £300 - looking for a double preferably firm to ortho with a topper. Neither us of have liked any memory foam so want to eliminate that. Any recommendations for us?

Thank you for your question.
Obviously you will know that £300 is not an awfully high budget for a double mattress. Our Origins Reflex 1000 which has firm topper layers retails at £520 for a double mattress. Mattresses in this price range will invariably be polyester based so please don’t expect to find natural fibres in any significant amount to come in at this budget.
The Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 is a firm mattress and the spring tension in that mattress is a medium which is correct for your body weights.
