Best mattress type for slatted base

We are an elderly couple, not as mobile as we once were. We think we want a firm edge with 1500=2000 springs, both of us are solidly built but not obese.

We like a firm mattress and do not like memory foam. Would prefer a mattress that does not need to be turned over. Can you help us choose the right mattress type for a slatted base?
