I recently got a new mattress from "Bedmaster" called a Signature Silver 1400, on paper it looks ok
1400 pocket springs, Made in Yorkshire, "Natural Fillings, including Lambswool and Silk, and luxurious Organic Cotton fabric.
Hand tufted with Natural Wool for durability, Hand stitched side borders"
All this for just under £200 bargain eh?
Yet I am not really happy with it, it feels what I would describe as "dead" you cant seem to feel the springs working as it feels overly firm even though its sold as Medium, the best way to describe it is its like sitting on a plastic sheet that is being pulled that tight at all corners that you never actually get the benefit from the springs underneath, the only place it seems to give much is at the edges when it squashes down as you get out of bed.
I am really looking for reassurance that if I cut my losses and replace it with a Origins Pocket 1500 I should be happy,
I have a new and quite costly Wool Rroom 1000gsm British wooltopper to try to improve living with the above mattress and wondered also if that would work together with the Origins Pocket 1500.
With regard to the base its a new bed which has solid slats and then 3-4mm mdf sheets on-top, and then to give a little extra protection I used just a cheep hollow fibre topper to sit the mattress on, will all this still be fine with the Origins Pocket 1500.
Lastly the bed is just for me and I am 13 stone, I dont want it that soft that I slump into the middle of it but would like a just a little "bounce" to it
