Good afternoon, we need to replace our old Health bed Kingsize 1500 Ruby, we are looking to spend c £1000. I am 16.5 stone and my wife is 9 st, I am impressed with your site and all the information. I should add I have back problems so which one of your range do you recommend? We have a solid base that is still Ok which we would hope to use. In an attempt to squeeze a bit more life and comfort out of the old mattress we recently bought a JL feather and down topper, I think this is about all for now, we look forward to receiving your reply- Oh have you anything in the outlet which again may meet our needs? kind regards -Tony

Hi Tony,

I am pleased that you have found the site informative.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

With the weight differential, I would suggest that you require a split tension mattress and although selective tensions are normally made in our Artisan range.

The Origins Pocket 1500 can be made in a zip and link set with one having 1500 springs and the other having 2000 springs, providing a medium feel for your wife and a firmer feel for you. This product contains synthetic upholstery, but if you want natural upholstery, the Artisan range is appropriate.

If you do wish to go for the Artisan, please view the Artisan Naturals which contains 85% natural upholstery and can be made in a split tension (medium/firm) in a one piece mattress.

This is currently priced slightly over your budget at £1235 for a king size (Dec 2018).

The zip and link version of this is somewhat more expensive.

We do not have any one piece Artisan Natural mattresses in the split tension in our outlet at present, but do have a couple of zip and link sets with the required split.

I trust that this is of help to you, but if you require any further help, please call our office.

Kind Regards Gary
