Choosing Artisan Naturals Kingsize mattress for different weights

Hi, I have been looking at your website for some time. I think I am ready to order an Artisan Naturals Kingsize mattress, but I know that previously I have read you saying to get in touch first. We have a slatted bed. I weigh 13.5 stone and my wife weighs 9 stone. We both like a medium feel, but I guess that means tuning the mattress for our weights? How do I specify this when ordering?

Thanks for your question.
This mattress is fine to go on to a slatted bed base as long as the gaps between them are no bigger than 3"". If they are then you will simply need to place some MDF, plywood or pegboard over them to protect from indentation and damage.
At your body weight you are matched with a Medium spring tension to get the right level of support. Your wife is borderline between a Soft and Medium spring. If she prefers a bit more give then choose the Soft. If she prefers a bit more support then choose the Medium.
The Artisan Naturals is very much a true medium feeling model in the top layers providing a slight sink into the top layer but not too much.
