I purchased a Simba Hybrid Pro and while I do find it comfortable I do find myself getting quite warm. It there a comparable John Ryan mattress in terms of comfort/support?

Hi Candie,

Thank you for contacting us with regard to a new John Ryan mattress and I am sure that we will be able to assist you with regard to this.   Having a good night's sleep is so important as it gets us through the day.

The Simba Hybrid Pro mattress which you are currently sleeping on does contain a layer of memory foam together with pocket springs.   Memory foam is a man-made foam which has a high density and viscosity compared to other foams. It has what is called an open cell structure which allows it to change shape with heat. This type of foam is typically heat sensitive, which means it reacts to heat making it softer and more pliable, so when someone lies on it, their body warmth allows the memory foam to mould to their body shape. This is the reason why customers complain that they get very hot when sleeping on this type of mattress.

EXTRACT FOR THE SIMBA PRO MATTRESS
Our Simbatex foam is an ‘open cell’ foam, with thirty times the airflow of memory foam; our sleep engineers have also infused it with graphite, a natural mineral which draws heat away from the body. This innovative foam is combined with the increased airflow offered by the doubled up Aerocoil® spring layers, and topped off by a layer of natural British wool which works, together with our breathable sleep surface, to keep you warm or cool, depending on the season.

As you require a mattress with the same sort of moulding and comfort I would recommend our Origins Pocket Latex 1500 which will allow that same sink into the mattress and moulding effect but without the heat retention as Latex is a lot cooler and much more responsive than memory foam.

John Ryan By Design Origins Latex
1 300 gsm Wool Silk blend pad
2 3cm Talalay Latex (60/40% blend) 70kg Density
3 3cm Talalay Latex (60/40% blend) 70kg Density
4 One inch HD Foam
5 1500 Spun Bond Pocket Springs

However in order to ensure that this mattress would suit your requirements, we would need to know body weights and heights as this will determine the level of support and knowing your sleeping positions ie: side back or front, will then determine the level of comfort.   The Origins Pocket Latex 1500 contains 1500 spunbond pocket springs together with 2 layers of talalay latex and provides the sleeper with a slightly firmer level of comfort.

I do hope the above is of assistance however it may be beneficial for you to call one of our friendly Advisors who can offer more tailored advice to ensure that the Origins Pocket Latex 1500 will suit your requirements - 0161 437 4419.
