The problem you have is the most common in terms of requests for advice that we receive. Even with a 5 stone weight differential, you both fall within the weight range for which a medium spring tension would be appropriate, however, I note that your husband prefers a firm feel. In this instance, it is likely that a split tension mattress will be the best solution, medium for you and firm for your husband. Such mattresses are available in either a one piece or zip and link set in king size and above in our Artisan range, but only available in one model in the Origins range as a zip and link set.
