Firmness of bed that would be best for myself and wife.

I am looking at the Artisan Natural or Artisan Bespoke 004 in King Size as a replacement to our current mattress. The current mattress is a a pretty firm one bought from John Lewis many years ago and is currently on a wooden lattice bed base, which makes it a little more firmer than when it was on a sprung base. I prefer a firm bed my wife prefers a softer feel. I am 11st 10Ib my wife is 10st 10Lb. Looking at your information on selecting the most appropriate level of support and firmness, would suggest we go for a Medium Sprung mattress. The Artisan Bespoke has slightly softer upholstery than the Natural so I am wondering whether this would feel too soft for me, and whether I should therefore go for a Firm Sprung Mattress in these beds and hope that the upholstery will be soft enough to give the softer feel my wife wants. Alternatively I could go for a mixed Medium and Firm sprung Mattress to match our different requirements. But I am concerned that adding this mixed springing might compromise the bed feel as you move to the centre and the junction between the two different springs. The final question is whether your beds have a firmer feel at the edge of the mattress than the Vispring mattress as I noted that there was a tendency when lying on one of these close to the edge to roll towards the edge. Not a major problem if you sleep away from the edge, but just interested to see whether yours would prevent this. My current mattress is firm right to the edge hence you can sleep right at the edge with no difference in feel.
