I note that the Sirocco has a pocket sprung box top above the main mattress and we would usually deter people from purchasing any form of mattress which has an attached top, usually described as a "pillow top". This is because it means that the mattress is a non-turn and as a result this can reduce the longevity of the mattress when compared to a double sided mattress, which can be turned and rotated resulting in a more even distribution of weight from the user.

We normally advise that if you do like a topper, it is preferable to opt for one which can be detached meaning that not only can it be fluffed regularly to retain the comfort, it can be laundered for hygiene purposes.

In terms of a better buy, the Elite is likely to be the more economical in the long term. You may wish to consider a mattress from our Artisan range, some of which are comparable to some Vi-Spring models.

The only one sided mattress worth purchasing is one which has Latex as a top layer like our Origins Pocket Latex 1500. The Pocket latex combines a quality 1500 springs/" title="pocket spring">pocket spring unit with a deep talalay latex comfort layer. Mixing both progressive comfort with traditional support. A medium firmer edge progressive feel.
