A customer asked

Due to my wife being disabled we purchased an adjustable electric bed (2 long small singles making a 5 foot unit). However the pocket sprung mattress which is only two months old is on the firm side, so I was looking to purchase a latex topper, would this be a sound idea??. I am 5. 7" and weigh 11 stone, my wife 5. 2" weighing 13.5stone Can you help with with some advice please.

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your question.

Latex, whilst being pliable is not necessarily the softest material to use as a topper. For a luxurious feel and soft comfort, I would suggest that you look at a natural or synthetic fibre topper.  You can purchase either of these types of toppers from a Company called Soak & Sleep.   If you do wish to purchase a Latex topper that is soft in feel, then again look at a Company called Latex Sense who do make soft Latex.  Our Latex toppers are made of 70kg density which gives more of a medium comfort.

I hope that this assists but please do not hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419 for further information and advice.

Kind regards Julie
