Latexsense Luxury Latex Dunlop Topper v John Ryan Latex 100% Natural Dunlop Topper
I have been looking at various toppers for my bed which is a bit too hard and don't like memory foam as it gets too hot plus you sink into it and a friend recommended latex and your company.
I want a sort of medium feel not too hard nor too soft and mainly sleep on my side. So can you please advise what is the difference between the two toppers? Thank you
Hi Wendy,
Thanks for your question about latex mattress toppers.
Latex is a fantastic material for pressure relief and like you have already pointed out is far less heat retentive when compared to memory foam.
Whilst latex is a fantastic material you really do need to take care to find out the exact blend and density of the latex. Some 'natural' latex toppers are made from as little as 20% natural latex but will still be charging the premium of 100% natural. The Latex sense one is listed as 10% natural latex which is reassuring.
Our topper is 5cm of 100% Natural Dunlop Latex in a 70kg medium density. It also uses graphite as the FR layer and no chemicals.
The biggest difference between their topper and our 100% natural latex mattress topper is the cover and build details.
Our mattress toppers are all taped edged like our mattresses so have a much more robust cover and edging detail. This helps them keep their shape and make turning easier. It also helps keep definition in the edges of the softer topper material. It's also fully quilted for additional comfort.
We hope that helps and gives you further mattress buying guidance. If you have any more mattress related questions please get back in touch on info@localhost or 0161 437 4419.
Sleep well
