My mattress sinks down on all sides. It makes an awful noise when sitting or lying down. I can push down on the foot of the mattress and it pops up at the head of the bed., and vice versa. I have had spinal surgery 14 years ago. I had my old mattress for 10 years and never woke up with a sore neck or stiff back. Can you tell me what is wrong with my mattress and how I might fix it, even if it means buying a new mattress.

I am sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with your mattress, but am unable to offer any advice as to the reasons without knowledge of the make and model of mattress you have, although even with this information it may not be possible to confirm the reasons for it's failings.. Having said that, it does sounds as if the mattress is not performing correctly and unless you can get the retailer to replace it with an alternative on the basis of it's failings, you may need to purchase a new mattress.
