Heather

Please suggest best options for a couple whom both sleep on their sides.

My husband is 5ft 11 and weighs just shy of 12st. We are wondering which mattress type to choose, there seem to many mattresses out there to pick from!

Hi Heather,

Thanks for getting in touch about finding your new perfect mattress. It can be a bit of an unnecessary minefield out there buying a bed. So hopefully we can make it a bit easier for you with some transparent advice!

Ideally we really need to know both weights and heights of the sleepers to fully advise, so would be great if you could get in touch directly to get a tailored recommendation. We also have a bit of advice here for side sleepers which maybe of use! Side sleepers need a softer feel in the upholstery layer to accommodate shoulders and hips. So we always advise steering clear of very firm upholstery if you're a side sleeper.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

We would also need to know your preferred feel in the upholstery layer, soft, medium or firm for example.

As a starter for ten though why not have a look at the Artisan Naturals in a medium tension at 12 stone which is one of our best sellers. It has 85% Natural Fibres in the comfort layer and features a Calico encased vanadium springs/" title="pocket spring">pocket spring which is tailored to your body weight (which is why we ask for a bit more detail to fully advise).

We hope that gets you started.

Kind Regards Gary
