Mirapocket 5 zones of support?

Hi,
thanks for a very useful website. Both my husband and I like a firmer mattress. I am 5ft 11" and 10.5 stone, he is 5ft 9" and 13.5 stone. I tend to get quite a stiff back in the mornings. Our budget for a mattress and topper is 1000 quid absolute maximum. We tried the Mirapocket Premium Choice for 700 quid at Bensons and it seemed good, though as you say it is very difficult to know without properly sleeping on it. However, having had a look at your website I am now worried about their '5 zones of support'! Also the allergy 'science bit' on the website sounds like nonsense to me so I imagine we are spending extra money on bits we don't really need. Do you have any suggestions for alternatives? Or opinions about this mattress?
We didn't particularly like foam pillow tops, so I am guessing we won't like foam toppers - do you have any non-foam toppers that you would recommend?

Having looked at the specification of the Mirapocket Premium Choice mattress, it does not disclose what is in the upholstery layers, in fact more emphasis seems to be placed on the number of springs. It is impossible to provide an opinion as to the quality or performance of this mattress because of this lack of information.
I appreciate that you don't want to make another expensive mistake and would suggest that you look at our Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 mattress. This will provide you both with the firmer feel you require with comfort in the top layers. With regard to the purchase of a topper, I would suggest that you wait until you have had the mattress for at least 14 days before buying one as you may find that the mattress is comfortable enough without the addition of the topper, saving you an unnecessary expense.
