Hello John and Ryan After much internet research I believe your Artisan Naturals might just be the mattress I have been looking for.
I weigh 12 stone and my partner is 8 1/2.
I would prefer a a firmer mattress to the softer alternative but I believe this may not be my partners preference.
Can you please advise if the use of a premium topper in conjunction with the mattress would meet both our needs.
Do you feel that a Natural Latex / lambs wool topper would enhance the performance and life of the mattress or believe this to be a little excessive.

Thank you for your question.
Your partners weight at 8.5st is obviously very light and there should be no way that the choice of spring tension should be any more than soft . You on the other hand require a medium spring tension and this will then give you both the support that you need.

The use of a topper is not advised at the beginning of sleeping on a new mattress as you need to get to know how those top comfort layers actually feel. If however after sleeping on the mattress for a few weeks and the top layers feel slightly too firm then by all means add a topper.
You do not need to overspend on a topper - my double topper (Hungarian Goose feather and Down) cost around £40 and although not overly filled provides me with the adequate additional comfort I required.
The Artisan Naturals mattress has a medium feel from the top layers meaning that it is neither too soft nor too firm.
