open sprung mattress

I have searched on-line and am only able to find open sprung mattresses that are one sided.

The term open sprung relates to the metal springs not being encased in anything so they are effectively loose inside the bed

. It is not a method of construction that we recommend, because it can result in disturbance during the night when one party moves.

We make pocket sprung mattresses where the springs are encased in either a spun bond fabric (Origins range) or calico (Artisan range) and these tend to prevent the issue of disturbance and make for a better night's sleep. I trust that this helps.
