A customer asked

HI there
I purchased a Fusion 1 about a week and its got another couple of weeks before it gets to me.
I have question re "boarding the bed base"
If you completely board the base, does body moisture find its way through to the base and have no where to go?
Can you have slats but with a narrow gap to allow everything to breathe? Or is this not needed?
please advise
Many thanks

Hi Neil,

Thank you for your enquiry.  The mattress you have ordered is 100% natural latex, which is fully breathable.

Latex core 18cm

You should turn and rotate your mattress once a month for the first year and then every 3 months thereafter to maintain your mattress properly.  Therefore the complete boarding option will not have any detrimental effect on your mattress.  Slats, however, no matter the size of the gap will.  Just as the mattress will conform to your body it will also mould to the slats which will give it a lumpy feel and will damage the mattress.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.  Our office hours are 8 am - 8 pm Monday to Friday and                  10 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kind Regards

Michaela
