It may be worth boarding over your sprung (curved) slatted base to avoid what is referred to as the 'hump back bridge effect' from occurring. You can board over the slatted area of the base using a 3-5mm piece of MDF or Plywood.

The Artisan 1500 is a hand crafted natural and man made fibre mattress giving exceptional comfort and support for the price. This mattress simply can’t be beaten given the components and price. The 1500 contains 53% natural fibres and the other 47% are synthetic, this will achieve a cooler sleep surface than a man made mattress but at a lower price than most other natural fibre mattresses.
