Hi, we are looking to change our bed as our current one is nearly 13 years old. Our existing bed is a" Wyespring Doctor Luxury" with sprung base bought from Dreams and have been relatively happy with it . The details on the mattress show it having 1200 pocket springs, warm wool side and cool cotton side, a natural laytex layer (doesn't say where this layer is), and roll resistant.
My wife is 5'0" and weighs 81/2 stone and I am 5'10" and weigh 11 1/2 stone. We are looking to change both mattress and base . What would be your recommended mattress for us and what type of base unit to match. We look forward to your recommendations.

Hi Kevin,

With your particular body weights I would recommend a split spring tension, soft for your wife and medium for you. Such mattresses are only available in our Artisan range which have natural upholstery layers either side of a calico encased springs/" title="pocket spring">pocket spring unit. These mattresses will provide the same overall feel in winter and summer and are paired with a true edge sprung base to provide that extra feeling of forgiveness.

Please view the Artisan Naturals, Artisan Bespoke 004 and Artisan Bespoke, all of which can have the split spring tension referred to. The Naturals and Bespoke 004 will provide the overall same feel with the Naturals having 85% natural upholstery compared to 100% in the 004. The Artisan Bespoke has a slightly firmer feel in the upholstery layers even iff the spring selection is medium.

Once you have viewed these products, please call our office to receive further, more specific advice as to suitability. Kind regards.
