Replacing a Kingsdown mattress and sprung slatted base

A customer asked

My wife and I are looking for a new mattress and base to replace our Kingsdown Mattress and sprung slated base.
I weigh about 16st and tend to sleep on my side (at least to start) and my wife weighs 9st and sleeps on her back.
Budget wise we'd like to get a new mattress and base (could be divan or frame, no preference at this stage) for upto £1000.
Which of your ranges should we be looking at and what level of firmness would you suggest?
Thanks

Hi James,
I am not able to provide a comparison in our ranges for the mattress you refer to and would confirm that we only supply divan bases. These bases may be platform topped or sprung dependent upon range. Our origins range has the platform top and Artisan's have the true edge sprung bases. Given your body weights I would suggest that a medium tension is likely to suit you and soft for your wife. In view of your budget and the fact that you have not indicated a size required, I would suggest that you view the products in the Origins range and in particular the Origins Pocket 1500. Once you have viewed this product on our site, please call our office for more specific advice as to suitability. Kind regards Mike.
