Hello there - have been reading all the comments with interest as we have a mattress issue!

Your site is v helpful….. We currently have a Super King Relyon Luxury Memory 1400 (I think!) which is pocket sprung with memory foam on top. We have had it about 4 years. Husband finds it fine, but I find it too soft and it is causing me issues with hip and lower back tension/pain. I just seem to sink too much. I am much smaller and lighter than husband but my side of the mattress definitely has more of a sunken bit when we get out of the bed. We both much prefer our old mattress, which is an ikea Sultan Hasselback kingsize (160cm) that currently resides in our guest room. This is a firmer mattress with no foam topper - its 7 years old and is still really great. Every guest who stays comments on how comfortable it is!

I am literally going round in circles trying to work out what to replace the Relyon with. We'd both like something much firmer with plenty of support (husband is 6'2" and large build) but with a little softness on top. Should we also consider zip & link?

I am 5'6" and about 10.5 stone. When we tried mattresses before purchasing the Relyon we both liked the Healthbeds Ultra 2000 and the Harrisons Ruby but couldn't afford them at the time…. We now live in a 3 storey Victorian town house, so getting super king mattresses upstairs is more difficult, although we did manage it with the Relyon. Do you have any suggestions for options we should consider?

Thank you!
