Resilience mattress

Hi, my partner is 25st and I am 16st, I am considering one of the new resilience mattresses and am aware I might find it a bit firm! Can you tell me which of the two toppers would offer me the most comfort as although they both look good it's not clear which would offer the 'softer' cushioning against the lower portion of the mattress. I'm just glad that we may have found a turntable matress solution after years of developing a ridge down the middle of the bed!
Thanks,

Hi Beth,

It is unlikely that you are ever going to get a mattress, be it latex, hybrid foam or pocket sprung, which will suit both your particular body weights.

I note that you are interested in the one product which will offer a reasonable compromise in that although the Resilience 1 is a firm mattress, it does have a topper which is 7.5cm in thickness, so should afford you a higher degree of comfort for your weight.

As far as the ridge down the middle of your bed is concerned, if your base is sprung slatted, they tend to have a dip in the middle where the slats meet in a central support bar.

This arrangement can cause the centre of a mattress to dip as this is the little used area and we would normally advise that the slats be covered with thin (3-5mm) MDF sheeting to provide the mattress with a uniform surface upon which to sit and eliminate the possibility of the central dip.

Kind Regards Gary
