Size and weight of mattress and bed for international shipping

I'm looking into the feasibility of having the Artisan Natural Queen with base/headboard/ drawers (2+2) shipped to the U.S. You've had a few customers do this in the past - anything learned from that? Also what are the dimensions and weight (approx) of items as delivered to port facility? Any special packaging you would do for international shipment? There's a huge price difference in the U.S. for Vispring Regal Superb, so there's a margin to explore. Also, would you charge VAT to the U.S. ? My understanding and previous experience is it's not required when selling outside the U.K. Thanks for your consideration of these questions
