Hi.
I'm a 13st, 6ft2.5 male who is very active (strength training roughly 3 times a week).
I also have chronic neck pain - something I have had for about 3-4 years.
I've been sleeping on the same mattress with the same pillow for probably about 10 years and now the mattress is lopsided (It stools down to the right hand side) and has been for years.

Please could you recommend the best fit for me and my circustance.

Hi Julian,

Thank you for your question.

At your body weight you would need to opt for a Medium spring tension for the correct support.

Spring Tension Wire diameter (Gauge) Weight Range
Soft 1.2mm Bespoke Tension (Please Call)
Medium 1.4mm Upto 16 stone
Firm 1.6mm 16 stone plus
Extra Firm / Orthopaedic 1.9mm 20 stone plus

Without knowing your sleeping habits (side, front, back sleeper) or your preference in comfort (soft, medium, firm) it is difficult for me to make some suitable suggestions. However, because you mentioned that you suffer with chronic neck pain we would recommend that you opt for something that has softer comfort layers with a medium support from the springs. For example our Origins Comfort 1000. The comfort 1000 is a synthetic fibre mattress that has soft comfort layers with a medium spring tension, supportive yet cushioning.

If you are interested in the benefits of Natural fibres (cool sleep surface and increased longevity) Take a look at our Artisan range, in particular the Artisan Luxury and the Artisan Sublime.

If you would like to discuss this in more detail please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind regards,
Amy.
