Which mattress for different weights?
We're looking for a zip-link super-king size mattress. My wife is 9st and I'm 20st - we're both side sleepers. She prefers firm mattresses and I'm not so fussy as long as I don't feel like I'm sinking through to the base of the bed (which does unfortunately happen with some mattresses I've tried).
We're looking at either the Origins Pocket 1500 or Origins Pocket Latex 1500 (our budget will not allow the Artisan range), with one side medium for her and the other firm for me.
I wanted to check - does the Origins Pocket 1500 sound like it will give us what we're looking for? The Latex version says it's firmer, but will the medium firmness Latex mattress feel like a concrete slab to my wife?
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your enquiry.
Normally, as you suggest, a split tension mattress combination in a medium and firm tension is usually only available in our Artisan range. Having said that, the Origins Pocket 1500 can be selected in a super king size zip and link set with one side 2000 spring for you and the other side 1500 spring for your wife. This should provide the support and feel required. We would not suggest the Origins Pocket Latex 1500 as this would not provide the support that you require for your body weight.
We trust that this helps, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.
Kind Regards.
