Which topper would you advise

Hi, we are looking at buying an origins zip and link super king size bed complete with origins 1500 mattress (probably a firm one) but we are unsure which mattress topper would be best. We love the comfort of a Tempur 5 but can’t cope with the heat generated by this. Which topper would you advise to replicate the feel of the Tempur without the heat? Would you recommend a different mattress too or is the 1500 ok? We weight 13 stone and 10 stone, and are unlikely to become any lighter! Many thanks

Hi Lorraine,

Thanks for your question.

The Origins Pocket 1500 is a great mattress selection if you are looking for a true medium in the comfort layers. Your body weight/(s) would determine the spring tension subjectively.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

Although I wouldn't be able to recommend anything that is similar to the Tempur mattress you refer to, I can advise that our Laygel or Coolblue topper will both assist in providing a cooler sleep surface. This is due to the cooling agent used the toppers.

I wouldn't advise using a topper right away, just so that you ensure that you have the right comfort level in the upper layers of the mattress. This is due to toppers mainly being used to soften down the overall comfort of a mattress to extend the lifespan of it.

I hope this helps,
