TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

Zipped King sized Mattress type,

Caroline Phillips asked
3rd January 2016

I have a super King zipped mattress medium I have had now for 14 years. It is still fantastic. I turn it every time the bedding is changed. Every other time fully it is turned and rotated, otherwise just turned. It’s like new. I have my old mattress in the spare room. I can hardly turn the mattress without help. I want to replace it with a zipped one, medium and just as reliable as my superking one. Can you recommend the type. I have a springs/” title=”pocket spring”>pocket spring one now. Are the new ones no turn or would you say it should be? I am happy to do it but must be easy and linked.
Thank you, awaiting your reply.
Caroline Phillips.
Ps would you take old mattress away? Old base can be used or would you suggest a new one?

Hi Caroline

We have quite a few models that are the size and type that you require, as you have not given me any idea on budget I will recommend the most popular two from The Orgins and The Artisan range that are both deemed to be medium for a guest room (i.e. a medium for a person of average weight).

You will then be able to see which best suits your budget.

With regards to your old base it should be perfectly reusable if you are happy to keep it and it is not showing any obvious signs of wear.

  1. The Origins 1500 Super King Zip and Link – This would have a medium feel, 1500 pocket springs and primarily made up of man made fillings with a final layer of wool directly below the cover
  2. The Artisan Naturals Super King Zip and Link – This too is pocket spring but made up primarily of natural fillings

The above is intended to give you an idea and we do have many more models to choose from, if you would like any more information please drop us a line.

Kind Regards Gary
