Buying a mattress from Groupon advice?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide an opinion as to whether the mattress you have seen on Groupon is a suitable mattress for you both, as the description is extremely vague particularly in terms of upholstery layers. You really need to know the specifics of each layer and materials to make any meaningful comparison.

In addition, it is difficult to recommend an alternative from our ranges without knowing your preferred feel and budget.

Hand-tufted pocket sprung mattress – what size are the springs? Gauge or tension?
Handmade in the UK
High springs/” title=”pocket spring”>pocket spring count for individual, targeted support – How many springs and how are they connected? Adhesive or hand stitched?
Hard-wearing woven Belgian damask material cover, soft to touch – Whats the GSM of the damask?
Medium-to-firm tension – Again you need to know the spring tension, you don’t really get a medium/firm option, you would need to know your weight for this tension to make sense.
Handles and vents on side panels – This should be a given on any mattress!
Support around the edges – What kind of edge support is it?
Suitable for all types of bed frames and bases – Again a bit of a vague obvious statement
Mattress layers made of synthetic fibres – So entirely polyester or equivalent.
