Mattress recommendation for lumbar pain relief/comfort

Mattresses with the word Ortho or Orthopaedic in the name are predominantly firm in feel and for your body weights, we would suggest totally inappropriate. When choosing a mattress the first consideration is the body weights of the people using it and the second is the preferred feel required.In your particular case, your body weights dictate that you ought to be looking at a medium spring tension/feel mattress. If you were to opt for firm or soft it is likely that you would not sleep comfortably as you would have either too much or not enough support for your body weight.

Please view the Origins Pocket 1500, which has a standard medium tension spring unit together with layers of man made upholstery providing an overall medium feel. This mattress is double sided and is the best selling product in our Origins range. Alternatively, if you would prefer natural upholstery, please view the Artisan Naturals or Artisan Bespoke 004, both of which can have the spring tension selected to suit and both of which have natural upholstery providing an overall medium feel. The feel is similar in both although the 004 has 100% natural upholstery as opposed to the 85% in the Naturals.
