Hi Chris,

Thank you for your enquiry.

With your particular body weights, a medium spring tension mattress is most appropriate. To that end, we would suggest that you look at the Origins Pocket 1500, which has a standard medium spring unit together with man-made upholstery providing an overall medium feel.

Artisan Bespoke 004 mattress

Alternatively, please view the Artisan Naturals or Artisan Bespoke 004, both of which can have the spring tension selected to suit and have natural upholstery.  The Naturals has 85% natural upholstery whereas the 004 has 100% with each providing a similar feel overall.

If you are using any of our mattresses on your slatted base, we would advocate placing some form of barrier, usually thin (3-5mm) MDF, over the slats to provide the mattress with a uniform surface upon which to sit and prevent ridging occurring as a result of the mattress dipping into the gaps between the slats.

We trust that the above is of some assistance, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards.
