Which Mattress for weight differential

Mark Stedman asked
6th March 2017

I am 6ft 3in and currently weigh 20 stone my wife is 5ft 6in and weigh 12.5 stone. I am trying to lose weight and hope to get down to 16-17 stone. My wife likes soft and I like firm. I think a compromise might be a medium. Which mattress would you recommend?

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your enquiry.

With your particular body weights a split tension mattress would be most appropriate, firm for you and medium for your wife. Such products are only available in our Artisan range in a king size and above, which if access is an issue can also be in a zip and link set. There is not a single spring tension, such as medium that will suit both even with your anticipated weight loss.

Please view the Artisan Naturals, Artisan Bespoke 004 or Artisan Bespoke all of which can be made with the split spring tension as suggested and all of which contain natural upholstery. The Naturals and the 004 will provide an overall medium feel in the upholstery with the Naturals having 85% natural upholstery as opposed to the 004 which has 100%. The Bespoke has the most upholstery in the range, however, this provides a slightly firmer feel than the other two.

We trust that the above is of help to you, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.

Kind regards.
