Origins 1500 pocket spring King size
My husband, 71 and myself 69 weigh 11stone 13 (height 5.9) and 10 stone 11 (5.7) respectively. After much research and deliberation over the past year find ourselves drawn to the above bed. Our present bed is a good age and I feel pain in the pressure points and we both experience hands going to sleep. We have a John Lewis microfibre topper which we would want to continue using as I in particular like to feel softness nd some give beneath me whilst being supported. As my husband is a bit of a fidgety sleeper I would prefer limited movement transference. Also concerned about how easy it would be to turn mattress as we are not as strong as we used to be. I should be grateful for any advice you can give. Thank you.

The Origins Pocket 1500 mattress is one of the most popular mattresses that we sell due to it having a more medium comfort from the top layers meaning that the mattress is neither too soft nor too firm. The spring tension in all of the Origins mattresses are a medium which is correct for your body weights and will provide good support for you both.

However as you both seem to prefer something that is may be slightly softer, I would also recommend looking at the Origins Comfort 1000 which has slightly softer comfort layers allowing you both to sink into the mattress therefore alleviating any pressure point pain in shoulders, hips and knees.
With a pocket sprung mattress, you should not feel the other person moving about as movement transference is limited.
Both of the above mattresses need turning and rotating on a regular basis as you are then evening out wear and ensuring your mattress will last far longer than if you just use one side. It’s also a condition of your guarantee and warranty to turn and rotate each month. The weight of the mattress will depend on what size you are requiring to order.
