Replacing Relyon Fronsac Mattress
Hello,
Am looking to replace our 19 year old (I know) Relyon mattress which has obviously served us well. Details on the label are:
Type: Chateau Collocation (Made exclusively for Allders by Relyon)
Range: Fronsac – Hand made pocketed springs
Description: Over 1000 individually hand pocketed springs in the 5′ x 6’6″ (150x200cm) size. Uplholstered with pure new lamswool, flame retardant foam and white cotton safety felt. Hand side-stitched tufted with felt underpads. The deep padded top divan id glued and screwed for strength and rigidity
Comfort: Medium
Please could you advise on the replacement options you would recommend from your range. We are both 5′ 8 and of medium build and unfortunately I do have occasional minor back pain in my lower back so an upgraded mattress may not be out of the question.

19 years is excellent.
As you may have read on our site without the GSM’s the blurb on the Relyon mattress is not going to be of much use I’m afraid. It’s all very woolly and non-descript! Given the fact it’s classed as medium I can give you some recommendations based on that.
We would need to know your exact weights as it’s really important for the spring tension, as this is based on your weight.

In our starter range have a look at our Origins 1500 which has a medium spring tension as standard and a medium top layer.
If you’re more wanting a naturally filled mattress then have a look at our Artisan Naturals or Artisan Bespoke 004 in a medium tension. Natural fillings not only last longer as standard but provide a cool sleep surface; Ideal for anyone who identifies as a hot sleeper.
