Vispring zip & link mattress with John Ryan Artisan base
Hi,
I’m looking to purchase a new mattress and divan base. I need a soft super king zip & link mattress (we have a really narrow staircase to our flat) and have narrowed it down to the Vispring Devonshire, Vispring Elite (a bit hard but cheaper), and the Artisan Luxury.
I wanted to understand whether you foresee any issues coupling the Vispring Devonshire mattress with your Artisan Sprung base? Also, please would you confirm whether the Artisan base comes in two parts that split lengthwise – and would this allow us to create two single beds if we wanted to at a later date?

Thank you for your enquiry and your compliments in respect of the contents of our site.
The mattress in our Artisan range which most closely matches the feel of the Vi-Spring Devonshire is the Luxury and it has the softest upholstery in our ranges and can have the spring tension selected to suit the body weights of the users. It can be purchased in a zip and link set with the bases being split for top to toe, which will also facilitate using the beds as two singles when required.
We do not foresee any issues with using our sprung true edge base with the Vi-Spring Devonshire, but would suggest that you check with your supplier to see if this has any adverse affect on the guarantee for the mattress. We would suggest that in terms of value for money, the Artisan Luxury paired with our base, represents excellent value for money and is of equal quality to the Vi-Spring.
