Comparable mattress to our 18 year old Staples Kingsize Houston?
WE have Staples Kingsize bed purchased about 18 years ago. Wish to keep the base (drawers are so useful) but replace the mattress,
ideally with similar Houston design. Is this available,or what is the closest ?

Hi Maureen,
Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any details pertaining to the mattress you wish to replace. This makes it impossible to compare to any of our products. The only Staples mattresses I have found are pillow tops which we do not recommend because as one-sided mattresses you can not prolong the lifespan by regular turning.

When looking for a new mattress you should make sure the spring tension is correct for your body weight(s) to give you the correct level of support. The upholstery layer should be dictated by your comfort preferences, sleeping habits and budget. We do not recommend anything too firm in the upholstery layers for side sleepers as this can cause pressure pains in the shoulders hips and knees. For front and back sleepers we would recommend more of a medium to firm feel.
