All wool mattress Devonshire Vi SPring?

Hope you can assist. We are pondering whether to purchase an all wool mattress or mix e.g. cotton horsetail/hair, cashmere, wool – I have heard that all wool can flatten down over time and lose some of its support? Also if it were to be a all wool mattress then should we go for medium rather than soft – we are both light in weight 10st and 11.5 respectively.

The combination of upholstery elements is probably likely to last longer than a wool only product in terms of the flattening and firming up of that upholstery. Having said that, with proper care and consideration, in particular regular turning and rotating, you can limit this and prolong the life of your mattress. All mattresses will suffer with settlement over time no matter what upholstery is contained therein.
If you only select wool as an upholstery layer, the mattress will have a soft feel in the upholstery, however, with your body weights, you ought to select a medium spring tension. The overall feel of a mattress is provided by the upholstery with the spring tension providing the support for your body weights.
