Comfort 1000 or Artisan 1500?

The Origins Comfort 1000 is the softest mattress that we retail in our Origins range of mattresses, providing as much sink into that top layer as you can find.

The Artisan 1500 has a medium upholstery providing a slight sink but not too much.

As standard the Origins range of mattresses are paired with a solid platform top base that gives the mattress a slightly firmer feel. Similarly, our Artisan range of mattresses are paired with a sprung base as standard giving the mattress a slightly softer feel.

This however, doesn’t mean that you can’t switch the bases. I myself have the Origins Comfort 1000 mattress and have paired it with the Artisan pocket sprung base and wouldn’t change it for the world.

You don’t need to add a topper straight away; We always advise to give the mattress 4-6 weeks to adjust to it as any new mattress will feel firmer to start with since the spring system nor the fillings have been compressed.

If you find it too firm after 4-6 weeks then add a completely separate mattress topper at that stage.
