Thank you for your enquiry on our website.  You have concluded one of the hardest things to do when looking for a new mattress and that is to set yourself a particular budget.  Considering that there are well over 4000 different mattress models out there from £99 to £52.000 it would be a fools' errand to go through each and every one of them to see which is better -or worse.  £800 is a realistic price for a Kingsize, this takes you away from polyester based mattresses (the cheapest of all options) and should bring you into the realms of natural fibres.

 

 

So what should you do next?  First of all, we ask that you look at our Artisan Naturals as your starting point £895 (£1235 - Kingsize - Sept 2018) You know the exact and precise specification in detail and your job now is to find equivalent built mattresses for similar or indeed less.  Our opening statement on the product detail tells you that this will be hard to do - but don't just take our word for it. It is now an easy exercise to scour many sites or indeed stores to see what they will be offering you for this price.

 

What will make this difficult, and has become the frustrating scourge of the industry, is that there will be precious little detail for you to do an adequate comparison. This is purposefully done in order that you cannot do such a comparison. The terms 'Sumptuous Fillings', 'Luxury Layers' and so on should ring alarm bells and begs you to question the appropriate retailer AND manufacturer EXACTLY what these are by weight (GSM - grams per square meter)?

 

Our stance is that ALL mattresses should be described in such intricate detail as standard (although and unfortunately it will only be done through legislation) the same way as food ingredients have been itemised in order that you can adequately compare like for like and see who is overcharging you for less! All our Artisan models can indeed have dual tensions as standard [No extra charge]. We give guidelines on the product page as to what may be suitable for your bodyweight, and these can be further honed based on your sleep patterns and personal preference.
