A customer asked

Hi, I came across your website and love all the detailed information. I would order from your site but, I live in Dublin. Could you give me a recommendation on what bed to go for. I'm looking to buy a superking, is there a reason why most of them are Divan base? My husband prefers a wooden base. From researching the information on your site it seems that I should be looking for a springs/" title="pocket spring">pocket spring mattress of at least 1000 count with a latex top - could you suggest a product from your site that I could purchase in Ireland, we would like medium support. Thanks for your time and help

Hi Cloda,

The reason our beds are shown on divan bases is because we do not make or sell bed frames at this time.

All our mattresses can be used on bed frames provided that there is appropriate support and that if the base is slatted, a barrier of thin (3-5mm) mdf or pegboard is used to create a uniform surface upon which the mattress will sit and protect the mattress from ridging.

We do not currently retail in Ireland and our sales are internet only, we do delivery to Ireland please see our delivery details and charges here.

I am unable to suggest any comparisons for our Origins range, which includes a pocket sprung latex mattress and would suggest that if you find a mattress that suits within your locality, you forward details to us if you require any advice upon the same.

Having said that, very few manufacturers publish full detailed information regarding the levels of upholstery used and this makes any recommendation difficult.

I trust that this helps,

Kind Regards Gary
