With your particular body weights, we would suggest that you need a medium spring tension/feel mattress. With your partner suffering from achy shoulders and occasionally lower back pain we would not suggest going for anything firmer than medium. Please view the details of our Origins Pocket 1500, which will provide an overall medium feel and as well as being able to select this in a zip and link set of mattresses, comes with a base that is split top to toe, for easier access. This mattress has synthetic upholstery and as suggested will provide the medium feel required.

Alternatively, if your budget permits, please view the Artisan Naturals, Artisan Bespoke 004 or Artisan Bespoke, all of which can have the spring tension selected as medium and all of which contain natural upholstery.
