Pocket sprung mattress noise

I have had my pocket sprung mattress for nearly 2 years. It has been on the same wooden bed frame (fixed slats) for the whole time. Over the last few weeks there are annoying squeaks every time we roll over or move on the mattress. It doesn't seem to be the bed base but I keep being told that pocket sprung mattresses don't squeak. Is this true? Any advice much appreciated

In general, a good quality pocket sprung mattress should not make any noise when you move, although we cannot comment specifically on products not made by us.
In addition, there may be other factors to take into consideration such as a change in body weight (s) and construction specification of the mattress. If the mattress you refer to is not one of ours, we would suggest seeking the advice of the retailer or manufacturer of that product.
You don't say what type of base you have but it is possible that your base is actually responsible for this. To determine this, place your mattress on the floor, if it still makes a noise contact your retailer. If it doesn't then you know it is your base and you may need a new one.
