How does the mattress breathe (to prevent having to lift it on a weekly basis) when placed on a flat unbreathable surface such as the MDF suggested?

Hi Nicki,

This would depend on the mattress that's going on top the MDF

Our mattresses are fully breathable so didn't gaps in between slats to ventilate. This will differ between retailers however, so if it's someone else's product I would always advise to seek their advice for their maintenance tips.

As part of correct care and maintenance for ourselves we advise to flip any of our fully turnable mattresses over once a month in the first year dropping to every 3-4 months in the second year onwards. By doing this you are allowing even distribution of any wear and tear across both surfaces as well combatting natural settlement.

We would never advise to move the mattress weekly as this does nothing for the maintenance.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419. Our office is open Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm and Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm.

Kind Regards, Lee.
