Relative positions of layers within the upholstery 'sandwich'

A customer asked

If, as the name implies, the 'hairproof cambric cover' is there to retain the horse/tail/hair, then why in the AB-002 is it beneath the horsetail layer whereas in the other mattresses it's above?
What's the difference between 'bonded' wool & cotton, and 'blended' wool & cotton? and why are their positons in the 'sandwich' reversed in the AB-002 and the AB-004?
Not trying to be awkward, just like to fully understand.
Thanks

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay in replying.

It would appear that the listed components in the Artisan Bespoke 002 are in the wrong order and efforts are being made to amend that on our site today.

John Ryan By Design Artisan Bespoke 002 Vi-Spring Tiara Superb
1 1200gsm Blended British Fleece Wool and Cotton 1200gsm Blended real Shetland Isle Fleece Wool and Cotton
2 Hairproof Cambric Cover Hairproof Cambric Cover
3 200gsm Soft Bamboo NA
4 1200gsm Pure Horsetail 1200gsm hand-teased long-stranded horsetail blended with real Shetland Isle fleece wool
5 1000 gsm Bonded British Fleece Wool and Cotton 1000gsm Bonded British Fleece Wool and Cotton
6 2508 (2 tiers) Calico encased Pocket Springs [56mm] [1.40mm] 2242 (2 tiers) Calico encased Pocket Springs [60mm] [1.42mm]
Total GSM 3600gsm 3400gsm

As far as the two wool & cotton elements are concerned, bonded wool is an insulating element and blended wool is a comfort element used as a primary layer.

I trust this clarifies the position for you, but if you have any further queries, please call our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards Gary
