We currently have a millbrook plc 2000 mattress and sprung divan in superkingsize. It is categorised as 'firm' support but actually feels quite soft yet very supportive. We are looking to replace it and wondered which sort of artisan mattress you would suggest. Also, would you let me know what is the difference between pocket sprung and bonnel coil? Finally, how does the mattress which you suggest for me compare to the Millbrook enchantment 3000 please?

Hi Dawn,

Thank you for your enquiry via our website.  As you will no doubt be aware, the published details of both your current Millbrook mattress and the Enchantment 3000 are vague in the extreme making any form of recommendation or comparison impossible.

Artisan Bespoke 003

Our Artisan range contains mattresses with natural upholstery layers combined with individually calico encased pocket springs. The main difference between Bonnel coil springs and individually encased spring is that Bonnel coil is a continuous piece of metal used to produce a sprung area, which does not protect against disturbance when one party moves during sleep. Individually encased pocket springs will enable movement without disturbance.

It is not possible for to me to provide a recommendation from our Artisan range without knowledge of your body weight(s) and preferred feel. Please call our office on 0161 437 4419 to provide this information and obtain specific advice as to the most appropriate mattress for you.

Kind Regards,
