Tony Ashcroft

Hi
I'm 6'3 and 18 1/2 stone with lower back issues after three ops years ago...sacroiliac joint can play up. Wife is 5'9 and 11 st. With bad hips. What a pair ! Both sleep on sides and toss and turn a lot therefore hating grippy memory foam which seems to grab you. Both get hot and prefer wool and natural fabrics, wife prefers a softer feel than me but I don't like rock hard particularly. Bed is a King. Any advice and recommendations appreciated, thanks.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your enquiry via our website. I note your preference for natural upholstery and to that end, I would point you towards our Artisan range and in particular to the Artisan Naturals or Artisan Bespoke 004. Both these products will provide a similar feel with the difference being that the Naturals has 85% natural upholstery whereas the 004 has 100%. Because of the weight differential, I would suggest that you opt for a split spring tension, medium for your wife and firm for you, even though you have indicated you don't want too firm. The upholstery in these two products will provide the comfort with the spring providing the support. Even with your height, I do not recommend a medium spring for you.

As far as the mattress is concerned, you can either opt for a one piece with one side medium and one side firm or go for a zip and link set with the same split, although the latter is more applicable where access is an issue. I trust that this helps, but if you require any further assistance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards.
