Which Artisan mattress would suit us?

I am 5'4", weigh around 11 and a half stone and have recently had a hip replacement aged 44. Partner is 6 foot and around 14 and a half stone. We are currently sleeping on a Sleeping Duck (medium) mattress but it's just too hot for me and feels a bit too firm on my hip. What would you suggest?

Thank you for your enquiry.
As you will be aware from viewing our site, the construction and upholstery in our Artisan range is entirely different to that in the Sleeping Duck product you currently have. With your particular body weights we would suggest that a medium spring tension would be most appropriate. Next to be considered would be what overall feel you prefer in the upholstery of the mattress. Natural upholstery is renowned for coolness and is less likely to make you overheat.
If your preference is for an overall medium feel, we would suggest you view the Artisan Naturals and Artisan Bespoke 004, both of which can have the spring tension selected to suit and both of which will provide the same medium feel in the comfort layers. The Naturals has 85% natural upholstery and the 004 has 100%.

If you prefer a softer feel in the upholstery, then the Artisan Luxury may suit and again can have the spring tension you require. The final alternative would be for a firmer feel in the upholstery even with a medium spring tension and that would be the Artisan Bespoke.
